1. Who Needs A
Ghostwriter or Re-writer? Who needs a Ghostwriter or Re-writer? Attorneys, actresses, movie directors, website designers, hardened criminals who wish to tell their side of the story, adults who were abused as children, people who've been falsely accused of crime, professional sports figures, CEO's of major corporations, grandmothers who wish to leave their memoirs behind for their families to enjoy, and everyday "folks" who have a dream or inspiration and want to see their dream turned into a fantastic, entertaining story–be it comedy or something on the darker side. And, professional writers, like myself, also need the services of ghostwriters/re-writers. I'm currently writing my autobiography, but realize that recreating my personal life's story is much too subjective to write on my own. Because of that, I will hire my own ghostwriter for guidance to get me through the many hurdles I'm encountering, in attempting to make my story both entertaining and a learning experience for others.Yes, EVERYONE needs a ghostwriter!
2. What types of services do you offer? Proofreading, editing, and refining another's story. I can take your finished or semi-completed project and refine it, or take your basic outline for a story and turn the idea into a work of fiction, non-fiction, or a screenplay.
3. Do you take every story idea submitted? No. We do not work on story ideas that involve cruelty to animals, sexual abuse, or excessive, gratuitous violence.
No. We are not a literary agency. Unless you self-publish (which we highly recommend), you will need to find a literary agent for your manuscript to get it sold to a reputable publishing house. There are agents listed on the internet, and we suggest you search there first. Many agents have specific guidelines for submitting manuscripts. READ THEM CAREFULLY BEFORE CONTACTING AN AGENT.
5. Do you have illustrators on your staff? While we don't have illustrators on our staff, we do work with them on a contract basis. The illustrators we use can handle multiple needs from designing individual illustrations to designing book covers.
6. Can you get my book published? No! We can help you get your story polished and ready for submission to a publishing house, however, we CAN NOT GUARANTEE that your book will be accepted by a literary agent or publisher. If someone says they can do this, be very wary. The publishing business is extremely competitive and most manuscripts are rejected for multiple reasons, no matter how well they are written. There simply is no guarantee of success in the writing business.
