PLOT/SYNOPSIS

American and international politics, together with the inherent value of loyalty and honor among brothers and fellow soldiers, form the background for this erotic, psychological thriller. Naval Commanders Ken Morgan and Russell Taylor lead The Compound, one of America's most elite Special Forces units, which carries out the State and Defense Departments' more unsavory missions. The epic story is told in four parts.

Part One - The Rescue - While on a covert mission in Northern Chechnya, Ken barely escapes a plane crash. His lifelong partner and adopted older brother, Russell, leads a search & rescue mission to locate him. Simultaneously, Ken's wife, Carly, travels to Leningrad and organizes her own Soviet-led search & rescue to locate her missing husband-unintentionally placing his life in even greater danger. Trying to save himself, Ken fights alone against an entire enemy unit, and faces death head-on when he runs out of ammunition.

Part Two - The Affair - Afterwards, the three (husband, wife, and brother)-who eerily were as children all neglected orphans-become involved in a tangled love affair. Carly, while deeply in love with her husband, also realizes an intense love for Russell. She hopes the trio can work it out. Ken will always be her true love. She believes him to be her angel, the most perfect human being she's ever met, and that feeling will never diminish.

However, she also cares for Russell. She loves him in a way different from Ken. Russell is intense. He truly is the rogue biker. There is nothing fictitious or pretentious about that aspect of his life and personality. And it is that intense, roguish nature that intrigues her and holds her emotionally captive. She wants to share her life with him, as well as with Ken.

Part Three - Payback - Carly is kidnapped and held for ransom in Greece by a man who hates Ken and wants revenge. Ken must now embark upon the most treacherous mission of all-sacrificing his own life in order to rescue his beloved wife and her unborn child. Her deranged captor doesn't demand money for her ransom, but instead demands Ken voluntarily turn himself over-to be tortured and eventually sold to the Red Chinese-in exchange for her life. Refusing to allow his younger brother to embark upon this dangerous mission alone, Russell accompanies him to help save the woman they love.
The military unit fights against time to save the trio from a fate worse than death.

Part Four - Family Ties - Carly's embarks on a mission to locate both sets of parents who abandoned Ken and Russell since infancy. If successful, she will give them the greatest gift of all-closure on yet another heartrending aspect of their former lives. Additionally, she yearns to provide her children the extended family unit she prays they all can someday enjoy
